Two things stand out. Where does liquidation happen? Your debt is fixed at $3,600. Liquidation triggers when your debt reaches the liquidation threshold of your collateral value — i.e., when collateral value falls to debt ÷ threshold:

  • Liquidation collateral value = $3,600 ÷ 0.80 = $4,500.
  • That corresponds to a SOL price of $4,500 ÷ 50 SOL = $90.

Every crypto-backed loan carries liquidation, oracle, and smart-contract risk. SOL collateral adds a few wrinkles worth calling out specifically.

SOL price volatility

This is the dominant risk. SOL has historically posted larger and faster drawdowns than BTC or ETH. A 30–40% drop over a few days is well within its normal range during a broad market sell-off.
